Questions people ask
before switching.

Does CapCut require a cloud service for automatic captions?

According to CapCut’s current help documentation, automatic captions rely on speech recognition and cloud processing, and CapCut recommends a stable internet connection. That is different from an offline caption workflow.

Does CapCut require Pro to export SRT subtitles?

CapCut does not publish one answer that applies to every iPhone user. Its help says some caption features are Pro-only and that batch SRT export may be available only on Desktop or Web, depending on region and version. If direct SRT export on iPhone is essential, KakuCut provides it without a KakuCut Pro subscription.

Does KakuCut work in Airplane Mode?

Yes for the local workflow: after the selected video is stored on your iPhone and Apple’s required speech model is installed, turn on Airplane Mode to generate captions, edit text, timing and style, then export MP4 or SRT. KakuCut does not require an account or a KakuCut cloud service for those steps. Downloading an Apple speech model, retrieving an iCloud video, or downloading an optional font requires a connection first.

02

Choose KakuCut if you need

A local, airplane-mode-ready workflow after setup: keep footage on iPhone, edit captions word by word, then take your MP4 or SRT file with you.

The KakuCut privacy promise

Captions stay on your iPhone.
Airplane Mode can too.

KakuCut does not require an account. Once the selected video and required Apple speech model are on the device, caption generation, editing, and MP4 or SRT export work locally in Airplane Mode. Apple Photos, initial system-model downloads, and fonts you choose to download may need a connection first; see our Privacy Policy for the full scope.
